Lost Our Home – Adoptions! @ Choice Pet Market - Biltmore
May 25 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

LOH is the only organization in the Valley dedicated to rescuing pets abandoned, or at risk of homelessness, due to foreclosure, eviction, or other financial hardship.  The most obvious recipients of our assistance are the pets we rescue, re-home, and feed; however, the mission of LOH is linked directly to the human-animal bond. As a result, our target audience extends beyond the pets to include owners, specifically:

1.   Pet owners who are forced to give up their pets due to foreclosures, evictions, and other financial hardships.

2.   Pet owners who, due to financial hardship, are unable to afford pet food and other pet supplies, and therefore may be relinquishing or abandoning their pets.

3.   Pet owners who are forced to move because of foreclosure, eviction, or other financial hardship, and are unable to take their pets with them—but who are committed to keeping their pet(s).

4.   Pet owners who cannot afford to spay/neuter their pets.

Paw Town Angels Rescue Adoptions! @ Choice Pet Market - Biltmore
May 26 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Paw Town Angels Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization based in Phoenix, Arizona. Paw Town Angels Rescue saves dogs that are abused, abandoned by their owners, and put on the euthanasia list in Maricopa and other surrounding counties. The Angel Army helps these dogs in need find their perfect forever (or should we say furever) home. They accomplish this goal by placing the dogs in foster homes to help rehabilitate them and get them ready to be a member of some lucky new family. They also believe it is their responsibility as pet owners and rescuers to do their part to ensure the health and safety of all the precious dogs that pass through their doors.  All of their dogs are vetted, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and micro-chipped. Before one of their precious pups can be adopted, a home check and trial adoption period is required.

SOS Kitty ADOPTIONS! @ Choice Pet Market - Scottsdale
May 26 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Merlin - Sos kitty
I’m a retired Agricultural Engineer. I operated the rescue house for Safe Haven for Animals for three years 24/7 (40-80 cats & kittens, all wet food and medicines). There were animals that Safe Haven was not able to rescue that I began taking, so chose to focus on those in my own home and assist in placement of cats in Safe Haven for Animals’ rescue house.
I still do some workshop facilitation and small consulting jobs. I do cat rescue because I love animals, have an incredible mentor (apprenticed to vet before starting to rescue cats) and because there is huge need, especially in our current economy here in Arizona.
